Deck of Haunts is now available on Steam, and is a game where you take on the role of a haunted house and scare the life essence out of daring intruders.

By day, you meticulously design the labyrinthine layout of your mansion and set traps around your heart room, the core of your supernatural powers. By night, you scare using a deck of terrifying cards to unleash spirits and horrors that will gradually turn the explorers insane… or worse.

The goal is to harvest their essence to grow your powers, expand your mansion, and lure even more victims into your cursed halls.

Schedule I has… disappeared from Steam?

Stop motion gif of gameplay from Schedule I.

After a successful few months for Tyler’s Video Game Studio’s early release of Schedule I on Steam, fans of the title in Australia have noticed something strange—it’s missing!

Luckily, this disappearance from the Steam store does not mean the game is banned, and is only temporarily hidden from the Australian store while the developer seeks game classification.

Classification in Australia means to assess the content present in a film, TV show or game, and evaluate which age group the media is recommended for. Think Nintendo’s Animal Crossing New Horizon’s rated G for its suitability for general audiences while Grand Theft Auto V has an R18+ rating for its nudity, gang violence and substance use.

It’s likely due to the involvement of drug-related activities that the game will receive an R18+ rating, and will return to Steam soon. Here’s Tyler’s official statement:

A screenshot of a Tweet from Tyler - Schedule I that reads: To anyone in Australia, you might've noticed Schedule I is hidden on Steam. Don't worry, the game hasn't been banned, but it turns out all games sold in Australia need to receive a classification/age rating (I thought this was only required for console and phyiscal releases. Smiling sweating emoji. I'm contacting the ratings agency today and getting this resolved ASAP. Apologies for the inconvenience!"
